Microchipping kittens and cats

We no longer provide this service ourselves, as we prefer for our kittens to have their chips inserted by our vet at the same time as they are early-neutered. The chip is the size of a large grain of rice, and so the needle is quite large, compared to a tiny kitten. We feel that it is much less stressful for them to wake up having had their second vaccinations, their neutering operation and their micro-chip inserted. The vet charges us £12.50 for each cip, but we feel that passing this cost on to you is much less than you would pay for a neutering or spaying operation, and we cover this cost at our expense.

Micro-chipping ensures that in case of loss or theft, your precious kitty can be reunited with you as quickly as possible. We feel so sorry for the poor cats who languish away in rescue centres around the country, when they could instead be returned to their frantic families, by the means of such a simple and reasonably cost-effective method as a micro-chip.

Micro-chipping is the first step in creating a Pet Passport, and the micro-chip registration document will be made in your name, depending on the age of the kitten. -Should you adopt a kitten after it has been neutered, you will have to pay for the cost of registering hi or her to your name and address (This is around £10 per kitten)

If you require one of your pets to be microchipped, we are qualified to offer this service within your home, and within moments, your pet will be back to their usual routine. It is surprising just how quickly they recover, especially with their family around them and within their own home.

When micro-chipping pets ourselves, each pet is registered with the national database 'PetLog', held by the Kennel Club. The microchips we use are manufactured in Europe to ISO standards, which means that they are readable in most countries around the world, and certainly around Europe. -Perfect for taking your pet with you on holiday!
