When Are My Kittens Due?

Responsible breeders ensure that they monitor the amount of days that their girls spend on honeymoon. This helps us to keep the size of litters to a comfortable numberĀ of kittens, but it also enables us to calculate mum's due date and plan all the extra care that she will need during her pregnancy. Having a due date also means that we can plan our lives around the arrival of kittens, so that we are on 24 hour, call for couple of weeks around the big day (or night!) in case of emergency.

Queens only ovulate once they have been stimulated by a first mating, so if you know that important first date, you can type it into our calculator to find out when your kittens are due.

A queen's gestation period is generally 65 days long, but it varies with breeds and individuals.

Once your kittens have been conceived, the pawpeds website gives an excellent guide to their development up until birth.
